João Neves is a freelance graphic designer, illustrator and music producer from Lisbon, Portugal, born in 1991. He’s mostly known for his lettering work, fruit of his obsession with vintage graphic design and typography.
His lettering journey started in 2013 as a necessity but quickly turned into a full-time passion. Since then, he started to include it in almost all of his projects, from branding and t-shirt designs to painting skateboards or murals.
Now that I got the mandatory third person bio out of my system, here are some fun facts about me. I make music under the name Floppy Circus; water is my favourite drink, I like to have a little piece of chocolate after every meal and most people call my by my last name “Neves”. “João” is one of the most common portuguese names but it’s also one of the most difficult for non native speakers to pronounce. This video represents my struggle.
